Fundraisers:
- Candle sales: The booster club will be selling Gold Canyon candles. Sales will begin in November in time to have a delivery date before Christmas. These candles make great gifts. Be on the lookout for more information at the end of October. Susie Morton is in charge of this fundraiser.
- Emch Fundraiser (pastries & cookies): The booster club will be selling these items in the spring in time for a pre-Easter delivery date.
- Little Caesar’s Pizzas: Sales will begin November 1st. The delivery date for the pizzas is Thursday, December 13th
- Pumpkin Patch: This fundraiser is coming to a close and has been a good one for the individuals that worked. Please don’t let up. If you are scheduled to work at the pumpkin patch, you must show up or find a replacement.
2007/2008 Competition Season
- Buyouts vs Volunteer: If you have not turned in your buyout/volunteer information yet, please do so as soon as possible!!
- Home Meets: There will be 4 home meets this season. Concession stands at these home meets are a major source of revenue for the booster club. Booster Club sponsors listed at the beginning of this newsletter manage these concession stands. Groups that are assigned to a home meet will be the same group that will be responsible for bringing baked goods, whether signed up as volunteer or buyout. For example all level 6 girls’ parents are responsible for bringing baked goods for the Fall Fiesta meet. Boys’ sponsor and baked good assignments will be decided at the November Booster Club meeting.
- Other assignments are as follows:
- Fall Fiesta: Level 6 girl’s sponsor
- St. Nick coed: Level 4 girls’ sponsors
- Guaranteed Foods: Level 5 girls’ sponsors
- March Madness: Levels 7-10 girls’ sponsors
- Concession Stand Policies: Make sure you read the concession stand policies. DO NOT sign up for a shift when your son or daughter competes or receives awards.
- Gym Set-up and Take-down for meets: Volunteers will be needed to help move pbars before and after meets. Also volunteers are requested to help put the gym back together and general cleanup after the meets are over. This does not fulfill your volunteer responsibilities if you have chosen the volunteer option.
Gym Bags:Gym bags are in. The cost is $32. Contact Melissa Huibsch if you would like to purchase one.
Bumper Stickers:The booster club will again be selling McCracken’s bumper stickers which can include your child’s name. Be on the lookout for more information.
Email Correspondence: Please email Nancy Pilney at majmom6@aol.com if you wish to receive booster club information by email if you are not already on the email list.
Agenda Items for Next Meeting:Agenda items for next meeting can be emailed to Nancy at majmom6@aol.com.
Next Booster Club Meeting: The next booster club meeting will be held on Thursday, November 1st at 6:30 in the party room.
