Garage Sale:
The weather did not cooperate with us this year. It rained all weekend!!! Fortunately the garage sale was held inside the Prince of Peace basement, but unfortunately the rain kept away a lot of shoppers. The booster club as a whole generated $1,330 in sales, $873 of which goes to individual funds. Another fortunate aspect to the garage sale was that a couple of needy organizations, including a mission and a church organization hauled off the remaining garage sale items. We didn't have to haul it ourselves to Good Will as in previous years.
Chiefs/Royals/T-Bones Fundraising Policy Clarification:
Keep in mind, when signing up to work Chiefs, Royals, T-Bones or other outside fundraising, if you are the only one to sign up for that particular event the outside-fundraising coordinator will contact you to make sure you are comfortable going to the event alone. If you are not comfortable going alone your name will not be called in.
Car Wash:
The car wash has been rescheduled for August 4th from 10 - 2 at the Burger King on Santa Fe. This is a fantastic team building event. Everyone must help with this fundraiser. Look for the sign-up sheet. Parents, for safety reasons, please do not just drop off your kids; you also must be in attendance.
Pumpkin Patch:
We will again have the opportunity to work at the pumpkin patch this year to raise money for individual accounts. Another work date is being scheduled. Nancy will send an email when she gets the information. Signups for working the Pumpkin Patch this fall will be posted by August 2nd.
Other Fundraisers:
Little Caesar's Pizza sales will begin November 1st. The delivery date for the pizzas is Thursday, December 13th.
Fall Flower Sales: The booster club will again be selling mums for the fall flower fundraiser. Be on the lookout for further information.
New Parents' Orientation Meetings:
The last meeting is set for Thursday, August 2nd at 6:30-7:30 PM. This will be held in conjunction with the monthly booster club meeting.
Nominations for Officers and Sponsors for the 2007/2008 Competitive Season:
If you are interested in running for a booster club officer position or a sponsor, a letter will be coming out the end of July describing the process. This is your chance to be involved. Please consider this opportunity.
Booster Club Parent's Handbook:
The Handbook will be revised this summer. The Booster Club will be reviewing the handbook on July 26th. The revision meeting will be held at the gym from 6:30 - 7:30 pm. A copy was emailed to everyone on the email list. If you have not received your copy please email Nancy so she can get one to you.
